Beijing, Nov 14, 2007 AEST (ABN Newswire) - China Mining 2007 Conference in Beijing this week has brought the International focus once again to the tremendous opportunities in Asia for the resource sector.

Keynote speakers on the first day included Jane Zhu, Head of Asia Pacific for the London Stock Exchange who delivered an introduction to listing on the AIM market, David Kaiser, Senior Manager for Global Resources at the Toronto Stock Exchange outlining the performance and growth of the TSX, TSX-Venture and Canadian Capital Market, also citing that Chinese companies active on the TSX Exchange are the largest group of companies listed on the TSX outside of the US/Canada.

Warren Gilman, Managing Director for CIBC World Markets, showed the astonishing growth of metals/commodities over the past year, and Han Ping, Deputy Director-General for the China Securites Regulatory Commission (CSRC) put the current Chinese regulatory framework before those attending in simple terms.

The following Q&A session demonstrated the strong interest in the changing regulatory framework in respect to Chinese companies approaching the challenges of dual stock market listings.

Among other exhibitors were product manufacturers and mining services ranging from general equipment through to airborne survey specialists and environmental consultants.
