WestSide Corporation Limited (ASX:WCL) Commences Next Phase Of Drilling And Appraisal At Bowen Basin

Brisbane, Oct 21, 2009 AEST (ABN Newswire) - WestSide Corporation Limited (ASX:WCL) has commenced a multi well program in ATP 688P in the northern Bowen Basin. The first three wells of the program (Tilbrook #9a, #10a and #10b) are exploration wells to confirm coal in the P seam and Goonyella seams of the Moranbah Coal Measures in preparation for the drilling of two sets of horizontal chevron-style dual-lateral wells (Tilbrook #L9a and #L9b, Tilbrook #L10a and #L10b) which are planned to intersect with new vertical wells (Tilbrook #9 and #10).

The Tilbrook #9a vertical exploration well has completed surface casing. BOP's are rigged up ready for recommencement of drilling when crews return as planned on 28 October.

ATP 688P coal seam gas seismic program (Tilbrook and Mount Saint Martin)

WestSide is conducting a seismic acquisition program in the Tilbrook and Mount Saint Martin areas of ATP 688P. Seismic data will be acquired over two 5km lines.

Latest activity

Seismic acquisition was completed over a 5km length at Mount Saint Martin and has commenced at Tilbrook.
