Mining Plus Melbourne Hosts Chinese Delegation
Melbourne, Nov 25, 2014 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Recently the Mining Plus Melbourne office hosted a Chinese Government delegation on a Study Visit to Australia. The group of over 20 Chinese professionals organised by Qinghai Provincial Land and Resources Office, comprised professionals from various groups including Qinghai Provincial Science and Technology Information Center, Qinghai Provincial Land and Resources Office, Qinghai Provincial Land and Resources Office, Qinghai Provincial Nonferrous Mineral Prospecting Institution, Qinghai Provincial Nonferrous Mineral Prospecting Institution, Geological and Mineral Survey Institute of Qinghai Province, and the Qinghai Geological Survey Institute.
The group was hosted by Mining Plus’s Manager Project Development – Colin McVie, Team Leader Geology & Principal Geology Consultant - Richard Buerger, and Geology Consultant - Andrew Bales. The Chinese group’s objective was to improve their understanding of the sustainable exploration, development and protection of mineral resources in Australia. The Mining Plus team presented information regarding Mining Plus’s Global “One team” and some of its recent projects including a focus on mineral exploration techniques, resource definition, reserve estimation, and mine planning techniques. Andrew Bales also gave a brief presentation in his role as Chairperson of the Prospector and Miners Association of Victoria (PMAV) including how the PMAV represents its members through lobbing government and an outline of its community activities. The Chinese delegation also thoroughly enjoyed trying out some of Andrew’s prospecting equipment and looking at the gold nuggets!!
It was a great collaboration event for all, and Mining Plus want to thank the delegation for visiting Mining Plus and also for the gifts provided, and we look forward to hosting further study groups from China and other countries.
