New Resource Perspective For Eastern Australia - New Perspectives Workshop
Sydney, Nov 19, 2014 AEST (ABN Newswire) - It has been 20 years in the making; the conceptual formation and re-shaping of Eastern Australia's geology. The new concepts have highlighted the potential of untapped resources and exposure to new mineralogical belts!
All this and more was the hot topic of discussion at the New Perspectives Seminar attended and part sponsored by Mining Plus. The event was jointly organised by the AIG and the AusIMM and held at the edge of the Macedon Ranges by the tasty Cope Williams Winery, Romsey.
Mining Plus geology team members Richard Buerger, David Coventry, Andrew Bales and Subhajit Debroy attended the event and tuned into some wonderful speakers lead by the key note address of Ross Cayley, Senior Geologist from the Geological Survey of Victoria. An excellent field of academic and industry leaders discussed the development of concepts proposed in Ross's latest work.
Ross has delivered a new perspective on the dynamic processes that shaped the Lachlan Orocline of Eastern Australia. It has the potential to revolutionise the resource prospectivity of Eastern Australia.
Mining Plus was well received at the event, which proved not only an educational insight with the new and exciting development within Eastern Australia, but also a great networking opportunity to meet up with like-minded professionals and industry leaders. The team certainly came away feeling passionately enthused about the potential new resource implications and mining on the East Coast into the future.
