Mineler and Mining Plus Join Forces to Grow the First Mining Social Marketplace
Sydney, Nov 19, 2014 AEST (ABN Newswire) - International mining consultancy Mining Plus has struck a partnership deal with mining social marketplace Mineler to foster social connections amongst mining people and provide enterprise-level software for mining companies.
In a recently signed deal, Mining Plus will use Mineler's social platform to build community engagement throughout the industry, as well as Mineler's enterprise-level business automation system to optimise staff productivity and streamline client operations.
"Mining Plus prides itself on being at the cutting edge of new innovations in the mining industry," Managing Director Ben Auld said.
"Mineler presents the mining industry with a fresh platform for workers and companies to connect, share ideas and create opportunities through crowdsourcing."
"This is the next step for resource companies - flexible, efficient workforces which can be hired at short notice for specific jobs or tasks."
Mining Plus has operations in Australia, Canada and Peru, providing a combination of technical expertise and practical experience to exploration and mining projects.
Consisting of consultants specialising in mining engineering, environmental science, geoscience, mine safety and risk assessment, Mining Plus has grown to become a significant industry player led by an experienced leadership team since its establishment in 2006.
Mineler is the world's first social marketplace especially for people in the mining industry, launching in November 2014. It was created in response to the need for the mining industry to adjust to looming seismic structural change. Growing costs, lower productivity, skills shortages, and remote worksites mean mining companies must act now to change the way they do business by working smarter with a more flexible workforce.
The Mineler social marketplace will allow members to discover a global selection of contacts and job opportunities, while mining companies can access a flexible, crowdsourced workforce and international supplier base.
Mining operators will be able to post tenders for tasks which members can bid for and complete, similar to Freelancer or Airtasker. Examples include anything from a simple manual task, to a full service or supply contract.
