Opens Vancouver Engineering Lab
Sydney, Mar 7, 2014 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Freelancer Limited (ASX:FLN) today announced the opening of its Vancouver office, which will support the Company's rapid growth locally and across the globe.
Located downtown in the Vancouver Centre (Scotia Tower) at 650 West Georgia, the opening of the Vancouver engineering lab will become a key driver in Freelancer's global growth strategy. The Company is planning to hire in the short term 20 staff in its devops and software engineering teams. In addition, a number of key hires will be made in engineering management, regional communications, public relations and support.
Freelancer has long recognised Canada as a key market. In 2012, Freelancer acquired Scriptlance, a Canadian start-up that achieved considerable success in the online outsourcing and crowdsourcing space.
