Sydney, Jan 30, 2013 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Indochine Mining Limited (ASX:IDC) report 205 metres of gold mineralisation in drill results at Indochine's Mt Kare Gold/Silver Project, PNG
2012 Drill Programme Results
Best recently received results from the 2012 drill programme include:
Drillhole 168SD12
205 metres (m) at 1.9 grams/tonne (g/t) gold from near surface (22m downhole), including;
67 m at 2.6 g/t gold, 16 g/t silver from 22 m downhole,
5 m at 5.7 g/t gold, 59 g/t silver from 99 m down hole, and
1 m at 66 g/t gold, 5 g/t silver from 226 m downhole within the WRZ Zone.
Drillhole 162SD12
33 m at 3.1 g/t gold, 55 g/t silver from 36 m downhole within the BZ Zone.
Drillhole 163SD12
23 m at 4.1 g/t gold, 15 g/t silver from 29 m downhole within the WRZ Zone.
Final drill results from 2012 drilling (12 holes) are expected to be released by early February.
Six drillholes have been recently completed in one of the bonanza gold zones, at the BZ Zone at Mt Kare. Drilling has commenced on a separate bonanza gold zone within the WRZ Zone. First results are due from 12 days' time onwards.
Tony Burgess, the key technical consultant who first identified the bonanza zones, has examined in detail the core and assay results from the 2012 drilling programme. "Our geological understanding of the resource zones continues to improve with recent drillholes confirming the potential of the project. The Bonanza Zone drilling programme is designed to determine the controls on the high grade gold, low silver mineralisation which represents 70% of the contained gold at Mt Kare", said Mr Burgess.
