Delegates from Over 50 Countries and Regions to Attend the Upcoming CHINA MINING Conference and Exhibition 2011
Beijing, Oct 26, 2011 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Upon approval by the State Council, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Land & Resources and the Tianjin Municipal Government, and supported by National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Environmental Protection, Ministry of Commerce, State Development Bank of China, the Export-Import Bank of China, Bank of China and other organizations, CHINA MINING Congress & Expo 2011 will be convoked in Tianjin on November 6-8, 2011. With the theme "Strengthen International Cooperation, Accelerate Geological Exploration & Mine Development", the Conference will widely publicize China's reform and opening policies related to the mining industry, and moreover offer discussions on topics including sustainable development of worldwide mining, global mineral product survey situation and analysis, mining and capital market, mine environment and mine parks, comprehensive utilization of mineral resources.
In order to make extensive publicity and introduction to international mining community about Chinese Government's efforts in improvement of mining investment climate and promoting international cooperation of mining enterprises, the Ministry of Land & Resources of P.R.C began to hold CHINIA MINING Symposium consecutively from 1999, which was renamed CHNINA MINING Conference in 2005. So far, 12 successful events have been held. As a foreign cooperation brand of China mining, CHNINA MINING Conference has been an important platform for Chinese and foreign mining companies and relevant organizations to obtain relevant information and seek for cooperation opportunities. As the largest mining pageant in Asia and one of the world four prime mining events, CHINA MINING Congress attracts increasingly high attention from the world mining community.
The international mining community pays high attention and responds proactively to this Congress. Up to October 20, more than 3000 delegates from 50-plus countries and regions, including China, have been registered for the Conference & Exhibition.
Mining ministers and/or vice ministers and directors general of geologic administrations from more than 20 countries (regions) including Australia, Canada, South Africa, India, Laos, Philippine, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kirghizstan, Uzbekistan, Cambodia, Mongolia, Angola, Sudan, Eritrea, Burundi, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Zambia, the Republic of Congo, Nigeria, Peru, Argentina, and Greenland will lead their delegations to attend the event.
Participants consist of nearly 200 international organizations, large mining companies, and financial institutions, including APEC, BHP Billiton, Anglo American, Standard Bank, Eldorado Gold Corp, Aluminum Corporation of China, China Minmetals Corporation, China National Gold Group Corporation, China Nonferrous Metals Mining Group, BOC International, China Railway Group, ZRHL GROUP, Datong Coal Mine Group, Shandong Gold, Shandong Zhaojin, and Zijin Mining Group.
The Conference consists of three main forums, i.e. the keynote forum, forum of foreign mining ministers, and high-level forum on enterprise development. In addition there will be more than 20 session on relevant topics incl. sustainable development of worldwide mining, global mining exploration analysis, mining and capital market, mine environment and mine parks, comprehensive utilization of mineral resources and so on, as well as 7 country sessions aiming for mining cooperation projects including Australia, Canada, Argentina, Peru, Africa, and South America.
On the base of previous events, the Conference will also focus on signing of contract, negotiation, communication of foreign and domestic mining cooperation projects, and other activities, displaying and releasing a group of cooperation projects, promoting and matching a group of investment projects, so as to further promote the substantial project cooperation among foreign and domestic mining companies. Besides, the Conference will introduce and attract more new technologies and new approaches for deep mine prospecting and highly precise exploration for the purpose of improving China's innovation capacity in science and technology of geological minerals.
Conference and Expo of CHINA MINING Congress 2011 will be held simultaneously. Compared with the previous Expo, the exhibition area will be doubled to over 20,000 square meters. In addition to standard booths, the Expo will provide special pavilions of national exhibition, special equipment exhibition, mining equipment exhibition, and investment project matchmaking exhibition, etc. for leading mining countries such as Canada and Australia to conduct display and promotion.
