China National Resources (HKG:0661) Changes its Company Name to China Daye Non-Ferrous Metals Mining Limited

Hong Kong, Aug 19, 2009 AEST (ABN Newswire) - China National Resources Development Limited ("the Group", HKG:0661), a natural mineral resources developer in the PRC, announced that it has changed its company name to "China Daye Non-Ferrous Metals Mining Limited". The Group's English short name for shares trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange will be changed to effective on 21 August 2009. The new name will be more clearly to convey the nature of the business by focus on the natural mineral resources business.

Mr. Zhang He, Executive Director of CDAYENONFER said, "The new name signifies a milestone for the Group's development. Since 2007, the Group has acquired a number of silver and copper mines in Xinjiang, along with several wolfram mines and one molybdenum mine in the Republic of Mongolia, which is rich in natural metal resources. The Group also signed the strategic cooperation agreement with Xinjiang Non-Ferrous Metals Industry (Holdings) Company Limited and the Government of Xinjiang Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture earlier. We believe that the cooperation will secure the steady increment in mineral reserve of the Group, and also importance to the sustainable development of the Group."

Besides, the Group is actively considering the proposal to increase the registered capital of Xinjiang Gold Forever Mineral Corporation Limited, of which the Group through its wholly-owned subsidiary Gold Way Investment International Limited holds 55% shares, from RMB40,000,000 to RMB120,000,000 and discussing the necessary arrangement for the proposal with the joint venture partner.
