Beach Petroleum Operated Cooper / Eromanga Exploration (PEL 91)
Chiton-1 is drilling ahead at a depth of 887 metres in the Allaru Mudstone. It is expected that the well will enter the primary reservoir objective Namur Sandstone within the next 24-48 hours. Participants in Chiton-1 are Beach Petroleum Ltd, 40% and Drillsearch Energy Ltd, 60%.
Browse Basin, Offshore Western Australia - Burnside 1ST1 Gas Exploration Well
Burnside-1ST1 (Beach 7.34%) is being plugged and abandoned as planned. The well encountered low permeability sandstone in the primary reservoir objective Brewster Sandstone which is interpreted to be gas-saturated. The implications of the result are still being assessed by the Joint Venture.
Basker - Manta - Gummy (BMG) Oil Field Development - Gippsland Basin
Basker-7 (Beach 30%) has reached total depth of 3921 metres. Analysis of petrophysical data is being undertaken in order to finalise the forward program for the well.
