與中國製造企業簽署Owendale項目協議
Brisbane, 2014年7月21日, AEST (ABN Newswire) - Platina Resources Ltd (
ASX:PGM) (PTNUF:OTCMKTS)欣然宣布，已與中國內蒙古製造企業內蒙古弘豐鋯業有限公司(下稱"弘豐")簽訂一份框架協議，雙方簽訂了一份有關本公司位於澳洲新南威爾士中部的Owendale鈧項目的《包銷協議》和一份《供貨、技術、加工和市場營銷協議》(參見圖1)。
根據這份框架協議，Platina和弘豐將對供應15噸純度為99.9%、價格可接受的氧化鈧包銷協議進行洽談。雖然還未達成定價和其它條款的協議，但Platina注意到，氧化鈧(純度99.9%)在過去四年裡的售價範圍是每公斤1,400-3,700美元。
框架協議申明，Platina和弘豐將在未來三個月內製定並執行一份有約束力的《包銷協議》和一份有約束力的《供貨、技術、加工和市場營銷協議》。
此外，雙方將對把1000ppm或品位更高的鈧精礦從澳洲運到中國、在內蒙古弘豐工廠加工、然後銷往中國和世界各地的可能性進行評估。目前，Platina正在研究一項用Owendale項目的礦石生產高品位鈧精礦的冶金測試工作。這一鈧精礦生產流程可能大大降低資本性支出和運營支出。 Platina和弘豐還計劃合作研究用Owendale礦石生產目標鈧產品所需的最廉價的加工技術。
Owendale是全球發現的最高品位的紅土礦礦床，並且產量大而穩定。當前全球的鈧消費量約每年8噸。然而，近年的研發活動顯示航天業和電池技術對於鈧的需求很大。
如果Platina將Owendale生產的經適度升級的精礦出口，在中國進行進一步加工(鈧含量1000 ppm，原礦品位為鈧含量384 ppm)，有可能讓Owendale獲得突破，提早開始低成本生產。
