Sydney Mining and Exploration Group (SMEDG) October 26
Sydney, Oct 25, 2017 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Revolution Metals Ltd CEO Tim McKinnon will be presenting the Dalmorton Gold Project at the Sydney Mineral and Exploration Group (SMEDG) on Thursday October 26, 2017. The venue is the Bowlers Club, 99 York St, Sydney from 5:30 PM, with no admission charge.
The presentation will include details of the recent Deep Ground Penetrating Radar (DGPR) survey conducted by UltraMag Geophysics on the company's tenements in North East NSW.
Using modern geophysical techniques, a number of anomalies were identified that were not able to be detected in the field's 100 year history. Since 1876 over 3 tonnes of Gold has been extracted from the goldfield, by small artisanal operators with minimal equipment.
North Eastern NSW remains under-explored due to the rough terrain and very little attention has been given to what could host many exciting discoveries in the next few years. The widespread high concentration of small gold deposits in the "Coffs Harbour" block have met with mild interest from the major Gold Miners due to the "patchy" style of these deposits, when they were looking for "superpit" style deposits.
The source of these many artisanal finds has eluded geologists and explorers for over a century. Now with new techniques being developed that provide low cost collection of sub surface data, more expensive exploration costs in the form of drilling are reduced by pin pointing highly prospective targets.
"That is where the Deep Ground Penetrating Radar comes in" said Tim Mckinnon. "Being able to quickly evaluate sub surface structures for potential mineralisation without drilling, means we can map the strongest targets before bringing in the drilling rigs".
Thursday October 26th at the 6pm SMEDG discussion, Tim Mckinnon and Philip McLelland will be demonstrating the deployment of the UltraMag Geophysical DGPR system at the Dalmorton Goldfield during the year.
