Signs Agreement with Taiwan University to Supply High Grade Vein Graphite
Sydney, Sep 22, 2015 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Lanka Graphite Ltd (ASX:LGR) has signed a Material Collaboration Agreement with the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) and a Commercialisation Agreement with a Taiwan based high-tech investment company specialising in IP Transfer and commercialisation.
Lanka Graphite has agreed to supply Professor Wei-Hung Chiang from the NTUST Department of Chemical Engineering with high grade vein graphite from the Central and South Western Sri Lankan graphite projects.
LGR's high grade vein graphite will be used to further graphene research and, the Company has also secured the future rights to commercialise the research intellectual property.
Lanka's Managing Director, Emily Lee commented that the agreement was another strategic step forward for the Company in becoming 'a key player in the Asian high-value end user graphite markets.'
