Appoints Jeff Forbes as Non-Executive Director
Brisbane, April 5, 2013 AEST (ABN Newswire) - The Board of Talon Petroleum Limited (
ASX:TPD) is pleased to announce that it has appointed Mr Jeff Forbes as a Non-Executive Director of the Company effective from 4 April 2013.
Jeff recently retired as an Executive Director, CFO and Company Secretary of Cardno Limited an ASX200 listed global infrastructure services company, with a market capitalisation of around $1 billion. Jeff was heavily involved in the growth of Cardno and in particular its expansion into the USA, where it generates over 50% of its revenue.
Prior to joining Cardno, Jeff worked in the mining and resources sector for over 30 years. Jeff has significant experience in the financing and development of resource projects in both Australia and the Asia Pacific region. He has held senior positions both domestically and internationally.
Jeff was an Executive Director, CFO and Company Secretary of Highlands Pacific Limited prior to joining Cardno in July 2006. During his career Jeff has worked for a number of major companies including Rio Tinto, BHP and CSR.
Jeff has extensive listed company experience as an executive director and company secretary as well as strong global financial management experience including the USA. The appointment of Jeff continues the process of renewal of the Talon Board as foreshadowed in the Demerger Scheme documents
