Sydney, July 7, 2011 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Asian markets had a mixed opening. The S&P/ASX 200 opened lower, down 0.04% to 4603 in early trade. Nikkei 225 opened weaker but soon recovered, up 0.08% to 10,090.71 in the first two hours of trading. Hang Seng Index and Shanghai Composite both had a positive start, up 0.56% and 0.23% respectively.

CuDeco Limited (googlechartASX:CDU) said today that FIRB has approved Oceanwide International Resources Investment Co. Limited to increase its shareholding in CuDeco to 19.9% through a further 15 million share subscription at A$3.80 per share. The raised funds will be utilised for CuDeco's flagship Rocklands Group Copper Project in Cloncurry in northwest Queensland. The Project is expected to commence commissioning in late 2012 or early 2013.
