Archer Exploration Limited (ASX:AXE) Drilling Completed On Eyre Peninsula Targets
Perth, April 15, 2011 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Archer Exploration Limited (ASX:AXE) is pleased to announce that drilling at four exploration targets (Sugarloaf - graphite, Salt Creek - manganese, Emu Plains - copper and Campoona - iron) was completed on Saturday 9th April 2011.
The following summary is based on visual observations only. All assays are expected to be received and collated within the next two to three weeks.
Sugarloaf Graphite
Four RC drill holes completed for an aggregate of 581 drill metres. Graphitic schist was interested in all holes with the longest down-hole interval of 70m (from 81m) of graphitic schist.
The graphite and carbon content is unknown.
Salt Creek Manganese
Nineteen RC drill holes were completed for an aggregate 791 drill metres. The longest down hole interval containing manganese (of unknown grade) was 24m. Assays are pending.
Emu Plain Copper
A total of 208m was drilled across three RC drill holes. Disseminated trace to minor sulphides were observed in some samples. Assays results are pending.
Campoona & Mt Desperate Iron
A total of 191m was drilled across 3 RC holes. No hematite intervals were observed.
