Asian Activities Report for April 8, 2011: Kangaroo Resources (ASX:KRL) Announce 3.15 Billion Tonne Coal Resources In Indonesia
Sydney, April 8, 2011 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Kangaroo Resources Limited (ASX:KRL) reported an updated JORC Resources for its Pakar, Mamahak and GPK Coal Projects in Indonesia. The total coal resources are estimated at 3.15 billion tonnes with coal types ranging from low-rank thermal coal to semi-soft coking coal. The Company will review the exploration program at each project with an objective of increasing the coal resources and fast-tracking exploration programs during 2011.
Orocobre Limited (ASX:ORE) (TSE:ORL) has produced battery grade lithium carbonate with purity greater than 99.9% from its Olaroz Lithium Project in Argentina. The lithium carbonate has higher purity than the specifications for battery grade material sold by existing producers. The Company will work towards moving the Project into commercial production.
UraniumSA Limited (ASX:USA) said today that the resource inventory in the Mullaquana Project within the Blackbush and Plumbush Deposits in South Australia has reached approximately 42 million pounds of U3O8. The Company will continue drilling to build the size of the Plumbush Deposit resource while focusing on developing the Blackbush Deposit towards production in late 2012 or early 2013.
Consolidated Tin Mines Limited (ASX:CSD) has commenced its 2011 exploration season with a 3,500 metre drilling program at the Windermere Tin project in northern Queensland. The 65-hole drill program will target depth extent of higher grade areas as well as priority areas identified from previous drilling. The Windermere Project has a current Inferred JORC Mineral Resource of 2.1Mt at 0.55% Tin.
