Aspire Mining Limited (ASX:AKM) Appoints Phil Rundell As Chief Financial Officer And Fergus Campbell As General Manager Of Operations

Sydney, Feb 11, 2011 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Mongolian-focused coking coal explorer Aspire Mining Limited (googlechartASX:AKM) (googlechartPINK:ASPXF) ("Aspire") is pleased to announce the appointments of a Chief Financial Officer and General Manager of Operations.

Phil Rundell will take on the role of Chief Financial Officer in addition to his current role as Company Secretary.

Mr Rundell has over 30 years experience as a Chartered Accountant. He was a partner at Coopers and Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP) and a director at Ferrier Hodgson.

Aspire has also appointed Fergus Campbell to the position of General Manager, Operations.

Mr Campbell is a mining engineer with over 20 years experience in mine and project management. He has held positions with Straits Resources Ltd (googlechartASX:SRL) and HWE Mining Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Leighton Holdings Ltd (googlechartASX:LEI), with particular emphasis on iron ore and new coal mine development.

While a project manager with PT Darma Henwa (googlechartJAK:DEWA), Mr Campbell managed the development and construction of the Bengalon Coal Project in East Kalimantan, taking it to a 6 million tonnes per annum production rate within 22 months of mobilisation.

Aspire Managing Director David Paull said the key appointments will bolster the company considerably as it enters an exciting growth phase bringing its 100% owned Ovoot Coking Coal Project in northern Mongolia into production.
