Kingsoft Corporation Limited (HKG:3888) Teams Up With Peking University To Promote Copyrighted Software

Hong Kong, Nov 24, 2009 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Kingsoft Corporation Limited (HKG:3888), a leading entertainment and applications software developer, distributor and service provider in China by market share, today announced that the Company teams up with Peking University to kick off "Campus with Copyrighted Software" program to promote the usage of copyrighted software. All computers in Peking University will be installed WPS Office and PowerWord, Kingsoft's self-developed software. While Peking University is the first stop of "Campus with Copyrighted Software" program, Kingsoft aims to extend this program to all universities and schools in China.

"Campus with Copyrighted Software" program aims to promote the usage of WPS Office and PowerWord, which are both copyrighted software, in all schools and universities in China. Through educating Chinese youngsters, the usage of outstanding China-made copyrighted software is further promoted in China which has a software market with huge potentials. Kingsoft offers WPS Office to schools at discounted prices. Its yearly usage fees are RMB1,000 and RMB2,000 for primary schools and secondary schools respectively. Engaged schools will be also titled to enjoy Kingsoft Powerword School Edition for free for one year.
