Inspur International Investor Relations Manager, Mr Xueheng Liu, gave his insight into his company success story.

Inspur International's parent company- Inspur Group is the largest state-owned IT company with a long history and established foundation. Due to their close tie with the Chinese government, the company is involved in developing various government backed projects, including the "Tax-Control Cashier". According to this new government policy, the use of a "Tax-Control Cashier" is mandatory and by 2010 cash registers without Tax-control function will be prohibited by law. After all these years of R&D, this project is finally paying off for the company. In FY 2008, the company started to manufacture these systems in large quantities.

Inspur is also a market leader in providing software solution- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) for the high end market in China, with established clients including China Aerospace Science & Tech Group, Petro China, Sinopec, China Eastern Airline and more. In 2008, the company also signed new contracts with China Railway Group, China Communications Construction Group, China Commercial Airplane Manufacturing Corp and more.

Inspur also provides IT support for the Telecom industry. Client base includes China Mobile (HKG:0941), China Unicom (HKG:0762), China Telecom (HKG:0728) and also several national telecom companies from Venezuela, Burundi, Sudan, Nigeria, Libya, Pakistan, Bangladeshi and UAE.

Inspur also co-developed Government Administration and Approval Platform (ECGAP) with Microsoft. In which, Inspur has already secured contracts with over 46 (City-level) local governments in implementation of the new system.

In the Financial IT Sector, the company is also helping companies including China life, China Merchant Bank in developing new IT systems to improve management efficiency and risk control.

When asked about their future plans and strategies Mr Liu claims that the company has already secured numerous long term contracts with the Chinese government, companies from the Telecom industry and Microsoft. The China IT industry is expected to grow by 20% annually through to 2012; the company is guaranteed to benefit from this growing market.
