Veidekke ASA (OSL:VEI) Veidekke To Build Homes For Thon At Lillestrøm

Veidekke ASA (OSL:VEI) Veidekke Entreprenør AS has been awarded the contract for building the Kanalveien housing project in Lillestrøm outside Oslo. The client is the Olav Thon Gruppen represented by Thon Hotellbygg A.S. Covering 23,000 square metres, the building is a turnkey project valued at NOK 280 million excluding VAT.

The project consists of all together 130 flats and approximately 4,600 m2 of commercial space, of which 37 flats have already been sold. It has underground parking, commercial space on the ground floor and housing on four floors.

The building will be constructed of in situ concrete with facades in plaster, glass and wood panelling. Work has already started, and all construction work will be finished in October 2010.
