Sebastian Linko is Vacon Group's new Corporate Communications Director
The Finland-based AC drives manufacturer Vacon has appointed Sebastian Linko (M.Sc.) as new Director, Corporate Communications as of 1 September 2008. Linko is responsible for Vacon Group's communications strategy and its implementation, including external and internal communications, media relations and crisis communications. Earlier, this position was held by Catarina Fant who now concentrates on Vacon's brand-building globally.
"Sebastian Linko has a wide experience in communications, and I believe he will be successful in his new position as Director, Corporate Communications at the rapidly growing and globally operating Vacon Group," says Heikki Hiltunen, Executive Vice President, Vacon. "Catarina Fant, our former brand and communications director, has moved to our subsidiary in the United States and concentrates on Vacon's brand-building globally. Brand-building is now especially important in North America after we acquired the AC drives business of the US-based TB Wood's in January 2008 and established a subsidiary in the United States."
Before joining Vacon, Sebastian Linko worked at Enfo Oyj, a Finnish Information Technology service provider, in the years 2002-2008. In the position of Communications Director at Enfo, Linko was responsible for external and internal communications, investor relations and international brand management. Enfo employs approximately 700 IT experts in Finland, Sweden and Russia. Linko has also experience in communications consulting and working as a newspaper reporter.
Sebastian Linko will report to Heikki Hiltunen, Executive Vice President, Vacon.
