Hong Kong, May 3, 2007 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Hutchison Port Holdings (HPH) is pleased to announce that a consortium comprising Global Yatirim Holding, EIB Limas and HPH has been selected to hold the concession rights to the Port of Izmir, Turkey.

Izmir is one of Turkey's major container ports with significant potential to cater for the continuing strong growth in the volume of trade with Asia.

The consortium intends to improve operating and service levels at the port and looks forward to finalising the concession agreement with the Privatisation Administration of Turkey as soon as possible.
