Burleson Energy Limited (ASX:BUR) advises that, as at 6am on 10 May, 2010 (Texas time), the Moeller #1 well was at a depth of 8,086 feet (~2,465 metres). The Moeller #1 is the second of numerous large Wilcox prospects to be drilled in 2010 and is being drilled as a vertical well to a total depth of approximately 12,500 feet (3,810 metres).
Burleson Energy Limited (ASX:BUR) is pleased to advise that the Moeller 1 well (previously denoted as W2) commenced drilling on 29 April 2010 (Texas time). The well had been drilled to a depth of 1,785 feet (544m) as at 6am on 2 May 2010 The Moeller 1 well is located in Colorado County, Texas to the SW of the main 3D seismic project area. The Moeller prospect has been mapped using modern 3D seismic as a large stratigraphic trap supported by direct hydrocarbon indicators (strong amplitude and AVO anomalies).

Burleson Energy Limited (ASX:BUR) advises that following total depth of 11,800 feet (~3,597m) being reached at the Heintschel #1 well late last week, the well was logged and the logs were received on Saturday 24 April, 2010 (Perth time).
Burleson Energy Limited (ASX:BUR) has been advised by the AKG Operating Company that the Heintschel #1 in Colorado County, Texas has reached its planned total depth and is being prepared for logging. Logging is expected to occur within the next 24 hours. The target objective in the Wilcox has been encountered over significantly larger intervals than originally anticipated and has given multiple extensive hydrocarbon shows which occurred during fast drilling breaks, and resulted in gas-cut mud weights, gas to the surface, condensate in the mud, and included pressures higher than anticipated.
Burleson Energy Limited (ASX:BUR) is pleased to advise that the Brasher #1 well (the first well in the Colorado County Project) has been successfully tied into the gas sales network and is now producing gas from the Yegua reservoir.
Burleson Energy Limited (ASX:BUR) advises that a strong gas show has been encountered whilst drilling in the targeted Wilcox reservoir sands. The significance of this gas show will not be definitively known until the well reaches total depth and the formation has been logged and tested. As at 6am on 18 April, 2010 (Texas time), the Heintschel #1 well was at a depth of 11,402 feet (~3,475 metres) and remained within the primary reservoir target of the Wilcox sands. Total depth for the well is expected to be ~11,750 feet (~ 3,851 metres).
