RUM Activities Update
Perth, June 20, 2013 AEST (ABN Newswire) - The following highlights current and recent activities conducted by Rum Jungle Resources (
ASX:RUM) in progressing its flagship Barrow Creek 1 Phosphate and Karinga Creek Potash projects.
Exploration and Evaluation Activities
Diamond drilling is underway at the Barrow Creek 1 phosphate project to provide core material and information for the following purposes:
- provision of material to facilitate ongoing metallurgical test work and process flow sheet development during the planned pre-feasibility study
- the production of product samples to support engagement with potential phosphate rock customers
- conduct quality assurance and quality control of existing resource information to increase geological and resource knowledge
A monitoring bore has been installed in the vicinity of Barrow Creek 1 to further ground water studies in support of the planned pre-feasibility study and environmental approvals process
RC drilling has commenced to the west and north of Barrow Creek 1 with an aim to increase the size of the known resource
An exploration camp has been established at the Karinga Creek Potash Project and further resource drilling has commenced. Trenching and evaporation trials will commence in Q3 2013 to further understand brine resource recharge rates and processing options
Development Activities
Rum Jungle Resources attended the International Fertiliser Association Conference in May 2013 enabling the introduction of the phosphate and potash projects to the global fertiliser community and the initiation of discussions regarding potential future off-take arrangements and partnerships
Rum Jungle Resources has executed a request for proposal and is engaging with a number of engineering firms regarding study management services for the planned Barrow Creek 1 pre-feasibility study

Rum Jungle Resources proposed takeover of Central Australian Phosphate remains open
The Managing Director is currently attending Mines and Money in Beijing, China, actively continuing talks with Chinese businesses
Rum Jungle Resources has been invited by the Northern Territory Minister for Mines and Energy to accompany the NT Government on a trade delegation to Japan and South Korea in July 2013.
