Queensland Mining Corporation Limited (ASX:QMN) Appoints Stephen Maffey As General Manager - Commercial

Sydney, May 20, 2011 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Queensland Mining Corporation Limited (ASX:QMN) is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Maffey as General Manager - Commercial.

Stephen Maffey is an Economics and Law graduate from the University of Sydney. On graduation Stephen was employed as a solicitor at Hunt & Hunt, Sydney for 5 years before moving to London.

Stephen has a wealth of international experience having been a senior corporate partner at SJ Berwin LLP, an international law firm for over 12 years. He is vastly experienced in negotiating and implementing complex agreements. Stephen also has strong strategic and management skills having served on the board of SJ Berwin LLP.

In his role as General Manager - Commercial at Queensland Mining Corporation, Stephen will be integrally involved in advising the Managing Director and the board on key strategies and contractual arrangements of the company. Stephen will be responsible for overseeing the commercial and legal arrangements of QMN, corporate governance issues and risk management of the business and its operations.
