Xped joining Open Connectivity Foundation
Perth, Aug 31, 2016 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Xped Limited (ASX:XPE) ("Xped" or "the Company") is pleased to announce it has joined the Open Connectivity Foundation TM ("OCF") as a gold member.
Intel(R) (NASDAQ:INTC) who are one of the foundation partners of OCF, recently invited Xped to join after the Company successfully ported its ADRC technology onto Moon Island Gateway platform.
Xped has been working to increase its profile and awareness within the IoT industry and with large corporations and sees joining OCF as an additional benefit to the Company for adoption and uptake of its technology.
The Company is in the process of making parts of its technology platform open source and making these available to benefit the OCF community. The anticipation is that this will drive the uptake of ADRC by the OCF members and thus create an install base for monetization of the non-open source parts of the technology.
