Successful Porting Completed for Intel IoT Gateway Platform
Perth, May 25, 2016 AEST (ABN Newswire) - On the 11th April 2016, the Company Xped Limited (ASX:XPE) announced its ADRC technology will soon be compatible and available on the Intel(R) IoT Gateway platform.
Key Points:
- Successful porting completed using Intel(R) Quark D2000 Microcontroller and Advantech Embedded IoT Gateway
- Testing of ADRC services on Intel(R) Moon Island Gateway platform to commence soon
- Demonstrations to Intel(R) Engineers to occur in the coming weeks
- Demonstrations to Original Equipment Manufacturers to commence in June
Xped is now delighted to announce that it has just completed successful porting of its ADRC gateway services using an Advantech Embedded IoT Gateway running Linux. The next step requires testing the ADRC services against Intel(R) Moon Island gateway platform on the same Advantech hardware. Moon Island provides state of the art cloud connectivity, security and management services to an IoT gateway.
The Company expects to complete this phase very soon and plans are underway to demonstrate its ADRC technology running on the gateway to Intel engineers and OEM's in the coming weeks in Asia.
The development of Xped's Mini PCIe card with ADRC functionality allows compatibility with leading Intel(R) IoT gateway manufacturers including Advantech and other OEMs who offer the Mini PCIe expansion slot in their gateway devices.
