City of Canning Geothermal Project Awarded to Hughes Drilling
Perth, Aug 12, 2014 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Hughes Drilling's (
ASX:HDX) Western Australian Division JSW has been awarded a new contract by The City of Canning for the drilling, construction and testing of two bores in the Yarragadee aquifer for the purpose of installing a geothermal heat exchange system at the Riverton Leisureplex located on the corner of High and Riley Roads, Riverton Western Australia.
The production bore is being drilled to an expected depth of 1200 meters and the injection well to 700 meters. These works continue from JSW's successful completion of other exciting major geothermal projects including projects for Hale School, The City of Kalgoorlie Boulder and the City of Geraldton.
The works are due to commence in August 2014 and will utilise one of JSW specialist geothermal drill rigs.
The estimated contract value for this project is $2m.
