Westgold Resources Limited (ASX:WGR) Appointment of Chief Operating Officer

ASX:WGR) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Paul Hucker as Chief Operating Officer, effective from 31 October 2011. Mr Hucker's appointment further consolidates the key management operating experience of the Company, as it continues to target 200,000 ounces of annualised gold production in the next five years.
Mr Hucker is a Mining Engineer with more than 17 years' experience. He has held numerous senior operational management roles within Australia and internationally, in both underground and open pit operations. Most recently Mr Hucker held the position of General Manager for Alacer Gold, at its South Kalgoorlie Operation.
Importantly Mr Hucker has held a number of underground management roles, with specific experience at the large sublevel cave operation at Mt Marion near Kalgoorlie and Harmony Gold's Target mine in South Africa, mining large stopes at depths of greater than two kilometres.
The Board of Westgold welcomes Mr Hucker, as the Company continues to progress towards development of operating mines at its two key projects in the Central Murchison, Western Australia, and the Rover Project, Northern Territory.
