ASX:SOC) reports high grade gold from Martins Shaft infill diamond drilling.

Details
An eleven-hole infill diamond drill program has been completed at Martins Shaft.
The principal aims were to obtain:
- Core samples of gold mineralisation for metallurgical studies to determine similarity to Donlin Creek, Tintina Gold Province, Alaska, which has shown gold recoveries exceeding 90% for intrusives.
- Mineralogical/Alteration data to provide a better understanding of the gold mineralising event to support further drill target identification in conjunction with geochemical, petrological and geophysical surveys.
- Fresh samples for Argon-Argon dating to constrain age and perhaps identify the source of the gold mineralisation.
Structural data confirms gold is present in Intrusion-Related Gold Systemstyle sheeted veins - potential to provide vectors to the gold source.
Assays results for the first infill diamond drill hole at Martins Shaft has returned some very high-grade gold intercepts:
- 22 metres at an average grade of 3.28 g/t gold including:
- 15 metres @ 4.59 g/t gold
- 13 metres @ 5.18 g/t gold
- 3 metres @ 6.94 g/t gold
- 2 metres @ 18.85 g/t gold
- 1 metre @ 22.5 g/t gold
Some metreage contained high silver (up to 15 g/t, 0.48 ounce) and antimony (up to 6640 g/t), indicating possibilities of silver and antimony credits for concentrates.
