In the first half of the financial year 2008/2009, Private Equity Holding AG reports a comprehensive net gain of EUR 4.0 million. The net asset value per share increased from EUR 53.08 to EUR 54.43.
As of September 30, 2008, the net asset value per share stood at EUR 54.43, which represents an increase of 2.5% in the first half of the financial year 2008/2009 and an increase of almost 42% over the last 2 years (September 30, 2006: EUR 38.41). The closing price on September 30, 2008 was CHF 46.95 per share.
In the first half of the financial year 2008/2009, Private Equity Holding AG continued to pursue its long-term growth strategy, which has been implemented since the beginning of 2007. Substantial progress has been made to achieve the defined allocation targets. The exposure to venture is 28%, the buyout exposure accounts for 54% and special situations for 18% of the aggregate portfolio. Geographically, the allocation to Europe and the fast-growing region of Central and Eastern Europe increased from 53% to 63%.
