Songa Offshore ASA (OSL:SONG) Songa Offshore ASA ("Songa"): Reference is made to Songa's announcement of 16 October 2008 regarding the private placement conducted by Songa and the planned subsequent offering.

The shares in Songa will be traded exclusive of the right to participate in the subsequent offering from and including Friday 17 October 2008.

In addition Songa would like to clarify that the shares delivered to the subscribers are existing and unencumbered shares in the Company that are already listed on Oslo Børs, pursuant to a share lending agreement entered into between Pareto Securities AS, Songa and Spencer Energy AS. The shares are immediately tradable.
