Don Rosa, the famous Donald Duck illustrator, arrives in Finland on Thursday, 9 October, invited by K-citymarket. His weekend programme will include signing books in the K-citymarket hypermarkets in Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and Turku. On Friday, Don Rosa will also visit Helsinki Children's Hospital to donate, jointly with K-citymarket, a Duckburg-style illustration of the Children's Hospital.
"We want to serve K-citymarket customers by offering them interesting and topical selections. Father's Day and Christmas are approaching, and a book by Don Rosa with his signature is certainly a very nice present for many. K-citymarket wants to be part of families' everyday lives, and we believe that the visit of the famous Donald Duck illustrator will make both young and older people happy in the Children's Hospital and the K-citymarkets," says Juha Ahtinen, K-citymarket Oy's Commercial Director.
Rosa is one of the best-known Duckburg illustrators. His style is characterised by lots of details and accurate historical references. The Donald Duck comic, 'The Quest for Kalevala', based on the Finnish national epic, is one of Rosa's works.
Don Rosa's works will be available in the K-citymarket hypermarkets he visits, i.e. K-citymarket Itäkeskus, Helsinki; K-citymarket Sello, Espoo; K-citymarket Iso Omena, Espoo; K-citymarket Jumbo, Vantaa; K-citymarket Länsikeskus, Turku; K-citymarket Kupittaa, Turku and K-citymarket Ravattula, Turku.
