Kesko Food has made management appointments effective 1 October 2008.
Ari Akseli, M.Sc. (Econ.), 36, has been appointed Managing Director of K-citymarket Oy, responsible for the K-citymarket chain's home and speciality goods trade and its development. In his previous position, Ari Akseli acted as Vice President for Kesko Food's Commerce unit. Before that, he has been in charge of the K-citymarket chain's food trade, and responsible for the home and speciality goods trade in the Greater Helsinki area. The positions of Hypermarket Director of K-citymarket Imatra, K-citymarket Myyrmäki and K-citymarket Jumbo also contribute to his wide experience in retailing and chain operations.
Juha Ahtinen, M.Sc. (Econ.), 45, has been appointed Commercial Director of K-citymarket Oy. Previously Juha Ahtinen acted as the Managing Director of K-citymarket Oy and the Marketing Director of Anttila Oy.
Minna Kurunsaari, LL.M., 43, has been appointed Vice President for Kesko Food's Commerce unit. She will transfer from the position of Vice President for the K-supermarket chain. Previously she has been in charge of retail and credit services and retailer operations in Kesko and Rautakesko. In the position of Project Director and Legal Counsel Kurunsaari has also been responsible for the preparation and implementation of the chain reform.
Minna Kurunsaari and Ari Akseli are members of Kesko Food's management board.
