Vaisala Oyj (HEL:VAI1V) Helsinki/Boulder - Vaisala has signed a 6.9 MUSD contract with the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for the delivery of weather radar signal processors and software for the FAA Terminal Doppler Weather Radar (TDWR) network, operating at major airports in the USA. The deliveries will start during the last quarter of 2008.

The FAA regulates and oversees civil aviation in the U.S. This contract is related to an upgrade program for the TDWR radars. The original signal processors for the TDWR network have also been delivered by Vaisala (Sigmet Inc).
