PÖYRY AWARDED SANITATION PROJECT IN MOROCCO
Pöyry has been awarded a contract by ONEP, the national water supply and sanitation authority of Morocco, for site supervision of a sanitation infrastructure project in Morocco. The services will be provided together with a local consultant. Pöyry's share of the assignment is about EUR 2.9 million. The consulting services are financed by the European Investment Bank (EIB).
The contract comprises the design review and site supervision for the sanitation infrastructure of 17 towns in the Sebou Valley. The scope of the project is construction of infrastructure for wastewater collection and treatment in the hydrographical basin of Sebou River, home of 20 per cent of the Moroccan population. ONEP realizes the project within the framework of the National Sanitation Plan with the support of the European Union, EIB and Agence Française de Développement. Commencing in July 2008 the duration of Pöyry's assignment is 45 months.
The order will not be included in Pöyry's order stock as at 30 June 2008 in the Interim Report to be published in July.
