Riksgälden Central government payments in June gave a surplus of SEK 13.8 billion. The surplus was thus SEK 4.1 billion higher than the Debt Office's forecast.
The deviation is mainly explained by tax revenue being SEK 3 billion higher than calculated.
Interest payments on central government debt were SEK 1.3 billion, which was SEK 0.2 billion higher than expected.
The surplus for the twelve-month period from July 2007 to June 2008 amounted to SEK 118 billion. Central government debt amounted to SEK 1 026 billion at the end of June.
