Aker Yards ASA Magne Hovden has been appointed Chief of Staff for Aker Yards ASA, reporting to the President & CEO. Hovden comes from the position as senior vice president for corporate HR & HSE for Aker Solutions and brings with him solid management experience.
Magne Hovden has ten years experience from several management positions within Aker Solutions, and has for the last three years been responsible for the corporation's human resources and HSE function.

Magne Hovden succeeds acting Chief of Staff, Sissel Anne Lindland, who has decided to leave Aker Yards. Hovden will formally take up his new position with Aker Yards from 15 August 2008. As per 3 June 2008, Hovden owns 4 000 shares in Aker Yards.
