Pöyry Oyj Pöyry has been awarded an owner's engineering services contract for a new 2x30 MW coal-fired power plant project in Kalimantan, Indonesia by PT Makmur Sejahtera Wisesa. The value of the assignment is about EUR 2 million.
PT Makmur Sejahtera will build the new power plant to provide power for the needs of the PT Adaro Indonesia mine, other facilities and coal transportation as well as for the nearby community. The new power plant is designed to use Adaro low-rank coal applying circulating fluidized bed combustion technology to meet the most stringent environmental standards.
As the owner's engineer, Pöyry's assignment includes engineering design review, project and construction management, site supervision and coordination of commissioning services.
