Heijmans NV 's-Hertogenbosch - Heijmans Property Development and NIBC have sold the second phase of the Rond de Admirant project in Eindhoven (50% Heijmans - 50% NIBC). This last phase consists of various building components and has been jointly purchased by the Stichting Spoorwegpensioenfonds [Railway Pension Fund Foundation], Stichting Pensioenfonds Openbaar Vervoer [Public Transport Pension Fund Foundation] and Generali Real Estate Investments B.V., represented in the transaction by SPF Beheer B.V. The transaction involves a preliminary purchase price of about € 80 million.
The Rond de Admirant project is situated in Eindhoven city centre and is currently under construction. It will house a shopping centre and underground parking garage accommodating 360 cars, and will include 11,882m² of shop space, 811 m² of office space, and 4,126 m² of leisure space in the form of a cinema. 80% of the complex has been leased out. The parking garage will be operated by Q-Park.
The section now sold is a part of a large-scale urban project. Phase one of Rond de Admirant was recently completed. This involved the redevelopment of the former Philips headquarters into office building De Admirant, the construction of a 2-level underground parking garage and the realization of the new Admirant Residential Tower. The realization of phase 2 has since been started. Completion is expected in 2009.
