KOH Kyotetsu, Director, Software Dept., KODENSHA Co., Ltd.

Mr. KOH has been in charge of software development for Windows Mobile, including machine translation/dictionary software since 2002. KODENSHA's product lineup includes "TransWalker j-Beijing V3″, a Chinese-Japanese translation software with Shogakukan's dictionaries. It has gained a good reputation among business travelers to China. One of the notable features of the software is that users can input any text they want to be translated, which distinguished itself from other competing products. English-Japanese and Korean-Japanese versions of "TransWalker" were also released. KODENSHA then launched "DictionaryWalker English" and "DictionaryWalker Chinese", putting more emphasis on dictionaries, coupled with entertaining antonym quiz. They even contain images which help users understand technical terms. These products, which run on Windows Mobile and implement standard functionalities of an electronic dictionary, allowed users to dispense with dedicated handheld dictionaries.
