Sydney, Jan 23, 2008 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Powerlan announced that it has recently opened its new central London office to support increased investment in European markets by its subsidiary companies Clarity, ConverterTechnology and IMX Software. The new office in London Victoria will be used as a European HQ by all Powerlan companies. The move involves the closure of the current Brighton office which is used exclusively by foreign exchange solutions provider IMX Software. IMX staff will transfer to London.
The office will be headed by William Tickner, Powerlan's European General Manager, reporting to Sydney-based CEO Jon Newbery.
Tickner commented: "Over the last year we have recruited a team of remotely based sales and consulting staff in the UK for all the businesses in addition to the existing IMX support team in Brighton. The next stage of Powerlan's development in Europe is to provide central management, marketing and administration support to this team to assist in the execution of regional business plans as well as to provide a centrally-placed facility to act as focal point for management and communications."
Jon Newbery commented: "We have been planning this move for several months in order to consolidate our increased presence in the UK across our core markets. London is the most important European centre for telecommunications and financial services, and is also home to most of our important business partners."
