Adelaide, Mar 19, 2007 AEST (ABN Newswire) - The heated economic and political debate over increasing Australia's uranium mining to meet burgeoning world demand, will be a focal point for two days in Adelaide this week at the 2007 Paydirt Australian Uranium Conference.
To be held at the Hilton Hotel this Thursday and Friday, 22-23 March, the Conference has attracted nearly 350 delegates - double that of the inaugural event last year - and a bevy of Australia's leading uranium explorers and sector commentators.
Federal Resources Minister, the Hon. Ian Macfarlane, will address the Conference early on Friday morning.
Other key speeches will be presented by the Australian Uranium Association, industry lobbyists, equity market and legal interests, and the executives of Australia's new breed of uranium explorers which have listed on the ASX in the past two years.
Field Public Relations is providing media room services to the Conference from a room directly opposite the first floor main Conference auditorium.
Media representatives are welcome to attend the media room on any occasion and for any length of time. Facilities include a TV monitor of proceedings and hard copy colour printouts of speaker presentations. A splitter box will be available at the back of the main auditorium for electronic media use.
Organised or requested media conferences will be held in the Media Room or just outside it. These will not be able to be held until the end of each session as the talent will be required to remain on stage. Session breaks are, however, timed for 10.05 a.m., 12.20 p.m., 2.55 p.m. and 5.00 p.m. daily.
