Perth, May 29, 2006 AEST (ABN Newswire) - The Board of Indo Mines (ASX: IDO) and its partner PT Jogja Magasa Mining express their deepest sympathy to the families of people who have suffered in the Yogyakarta tragedy unfolding in the city following this weekend's earthquake.
Indo Mines is sending a donation of 100 million rupiah (AUD$14,000) to the Government of Yogyakarta to help finance the relief aid that will restore infrastructure and facilities in the city.
The Company's pig iron project is located approximately 30km to the south of Yogyakarta city and its operations are unaffected by the earthquake tragedy. The current drilling program of the Kulon Progo ironsands deposit remains on schedule.
As a remark of respect, the Company's drilling program will be suspended for about 1 week to allow local employees to attend family matters.
