Perth, Jan 17, 2006 AEST (ABN Newswire) - QRSciences Holdings Limited (ASX: QRS) (PNK: QRSHY), has contracted with Australian Customs Service for work on an advanced weapon detection system for international mail and package inspection.
The Company anticipates that the project, associated government sales and commercial sales will bring at least $ 2.5 m in revenue to the Company over the next eighteen months.
The system is a new revenue stream for the company. In addition to selling in a stand-alone capacity the device will also enhance the existing QR product range.

Mail packages and cargo entering Australia today are manually scanned using X-ray equipment. The new system will allow for automated detection adding assisting the operator in their decision making process.
