SMRT Corporation Ltd. (SMRT) is an investment holding company engaged in provision of management services to its subsidiary companies. SMRT is a multi-modal public transport operator and transport engineering and service solutions provider. The Company, through its subsidiaries operates in seven segments: rail operations, bus operations, taxi operations, rental, advertising, engineering and other services, and investment holding. The rail operations consist of providing transport-related businesses in Singapore. The bus operations provide bus services and charter hire services. The taxi operations consist of rental of taxis and provision of taxi services. The rental segment leases commercial space and kiosks. The advertising segment consists of leasing of advertising space at the SMRT Trains Ltd (MRT) and SMRT Light Rail Pte Ltd (LRT) stations, as well as in trains, and on buses and taxis. The engineering and other services segment includes consultancy and project management services.
