Jiangxi Copper Company Limited

Jiangxi Copper Company Limited (JCCL) is an integrated producer of copper in the People’s Republic of China. It operation consist of copper mining, milling, smelting and refining for the production of copper cathodes, copper rods and wires and other related products, including pyrite concentrates, sulphuric acid and electrolytic gold and silver. It also provides smelting and refining services pursuant to tolling arrangements for customers. During the year ended December 31, 2007, the Company acquired from Jiangxi Copper Corporation a 40% equity interests in Jiangxi Copper Alloy Materials Company Limited, a 40% equity interest in Jiangxi Copper Products Company Limited, 100% equity interests in both Jiangxi Copper Corporation Chemical Company Limited and Jiangxi Copper Corporation Dexing Transportation Company Limited, and the operating assets and the related business of the Chengmenshan Copper Mine.
