Telenet NV Mechelen, May 28, 2008 - Today, the workers' council of Telenet has been informed about Telenet's intentions to transfer all facilities and services for the production of PRIME and video on demand to a strategic partner. The PRIME channels remain property of Telenet. The rapid evolution of technological standards and equipment for the production of content and the evolution of Telenet towards a customer-centric service organization implied that the production and operations of content are no longer considered as part of Telenet's core business. Therefore, these operations will be transferred to a partner, specialized in the production of broadcasting. The recent discussions with Videohouse as strategic partner in this matter will be intensified.
