ING Group (NYSE:ING) ING announced today that it will appoint Karien van Gennip as Director European & International Affairs, responsible for managing and promoting ING's interests with European and international organisations and governmental bodies. As of 8 September 2008, Van Gennip will succeed Violeta Ciurel, who has taken up a new role as Regional CEO of ING's greenfield insurance operations in Central Europe.
